À notre rencontre

Established on 500 acres of land, our traditional Provencal farmhouse called a "mas" offers you 5 comfortable independent renovated holiday cottages. We also provide spacious guest rooms inside the 17th century main building.

Our family settled in Saint-Germain over 6 generations ago, and has been working together ever since: the tractor drives through the courtyard, horses are trained in the schooling yard while

children are jumping on the trampoline... That’s how days go by here, and that’s what you’ll witness in Saint-Germain: a simple, natural and genuine life.

The farm's activities

Discover our Camargue horses and bulls, Arles Merino sheep and our Provencal donkey.

Our organic rice paddies, wheat fields and meadows spread from the Mas right down to the banks of the Vaccarès Pond, inside the Camargue National Reserve, a paradisiacal area for migrating birds, including large colonies of pink flamingos.

Come ride with us !

From beginners to experienced riders, both for adults and children from the age of 6, join us for a lesson, a riding course or a horse ride through our private domain supervised by a state-certified instructor in our equestrian centre. During the visit of the ‘Manade’ (Camargue stud farm), we will explain the specific features of breeding and farming in Camargue. You will quietly discover from the top of your mount a magical and wild environment.  We have a wide choice of horses suitable for all levels. The little children will appreciate the calm and kindness of our old horses in pre-retirement..

Our horse breeding farm

The Mas Saint Germain owns a huge herd composed of 40 horses including the mounts for the Gardians, mares, foals, stallions, horses for the equestrian center and 10 old retired horses. The Camargue horse is a gentle and generousbreed. They are not only great working horses, but they are also very well-appreciated for leisure riding and equestrian tourism..

Our engagement

Commitments to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism

Respecting our living environment and the principles of sustainable development is a true ethical value to every member of our family. It is certainly an unconscious heritage of our ancestors preserved by the sweat of their brow, that we respect and wish to pass on unharmed to future generations.

In practice, to the extent of our means, we systematically choose an non-polluting and non-degrading approach and avoid waste at any price. We are organic farmers, we use eco-friendly household products, we sort our wastage, recycle what can be, select environmentally-friendly building material for refurbishments, etc.

All these actions fit the standards set by the EEuropean Charter for Sustainable Tourism, locally supported by the Camargue Natural Regional Park.
