Le Pigeonnier

Le Pigeonnier an annexe to the Mas’ tower, with its foundations dating back from the 11th century

Le Pigeonnier (Dovecote in English) were historically one of the main vital buildings of Provencal farmhouses from the Camargue. Not only were doves very useful messengers at that time, but they were also a very popular delicacy. The Saint-Germain dovecot is built on the foundations of an ancient watchtower dating back from the 11th century.

 

We have entirely renovated an old outbuilding set right against the dovecot tower to offer you a charming and peaceful cottage.

 

It is a quiet and self-contained place providing a nicely equipped and comfortable lodging. Its South and West-oriented private terrace gives both onto the “pasquier” enclosed pasture - alternately reserved for horses and organic crops - and the horses’ schooling yard. This cottage can accommodate 2 to 4 people.

  • A kitchen fitted with many cupboards and equipped with a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a stove, a little dishwasher, a microwave oven, a coffee machine and a kettle

  • A sitting room with a corner sofa, a woodstove and a TV

  • A shower room with a walk-in shower and separate WC

 

Upstairs

  • A double room including a queen-size bed, a wardrobe, a reading area facing south and west

  • A twin room with a wardrobe and a desk

 

Outside

  • A private not-overlooked south and west-facing terrace. It includes garden furniture under a shaded gazebo and barbecue facilities

  • A green area shaded by a lovely fig tree

  • Shared laundry facilities

In order to conveniently prepare your accommodation, check-in is possible from 4.00 p.m., and we will ask you to check out by 10.00 a.m.
